SYRAH
ALTITUD

2024
The Wine
Syrah Altitud 2024 finds in the Pyrenees (Talarn) a mountain expression, serious and clear, far from any excessive reading of the variety. The altitude cools Syrah's natural impulse, sustains its tension, and leads the wine toward a more vertical, more spiced, and more mineral profile.
The 2024 vintage favored slow and orderly ripening. The light, ambient dryness, and thermal contrast between day and night allowed the fruit to reach fullness without losing pulse. In this vintage, Syrah is not defined by breadth, but by the balance between energy, matter, and freshness.

VISION
Person
A vision that seeks to contain the variety's natural impulse to take it toward a straighter, more precise, and deeper expression. Here Syrah is not worked from breadth or power, but from tension, verticality, and detail. The intention is to refine the fruit, order the spice, and give the wine a more serious, clear, and mineral form.
TERROIR
Place
Pyrenees, Talarn (Pallars Jussà). High-altitude vineyard in a landscape of clear Pyrenean influence, where ripening advances slowly and nights cool the day's pulse. The thermal range preserves acidity, sharpens the aromatic profile, and allows a clearer and more serene expression of the fruit.
Climate
Continental, dry, and luminous, clearly marked by Pyrenean influence. The thermal range between day and night delays ripening and preserves freshness in a variety that, in warmer contexts, tends toward denser profiles.
Soil
Predominantly limestone, poor and well-drained. A soil that limits vigor and favors berries with more consistent skin, providing structure without losing definition.
Topography
At 850 meters, the altitude cools Syrah's natural pulse and sustains a more vertical and precise expression. The slope and exposure accompany orderly ripening and contribute to giving the wine a firmer rather than expansive form.
Variety
100% Syrah, interpreted from a less solar and more restrained register, where spice, fruit, and tension weigh more than exuberance.
Natural environment
Stone, forest, and dry air. An interior mountain landscape that brings freshness, sobriety, and a discreet mineral imprint.
CRAFT
Method
Fermentation in stone lagares places the winemaking in a register of greater bareness and direct relationship with the grape. This work allows measured extraction, respecting Syrah's natural texture and avoiding harshness.
The subsequent 12-month aging in French oak barrels does not seek to expand the wine's volume, but to polish its framework, integrate the matter, and extend its journey. The result relies more on precision of touch than on strength.
